And it's not discrimination int he first place. Of course you guys can still do whatever you freaking want, if you take him so siriously or seriously or however it's spelled (in case you haven't noticed I can't spell either) then I think you need to loosen up.

Why would a girl read a male-only topic? Purely out of curiosity of course hoping for something gross or dirty to laugh about. But this is not funny. Why are you being so mean to Caitlin? She was never mean to you, and just because a person posts a lot doesn't mean she's trying to monopolize the boards or anything. Why don't you post some more yourself then.

There was nothing dirrogatory said about Caitlin in this post. You don't need to continue defending her. Really. There were no attacks leveled against her. If you want to turn this into a Caitlin feud, so be it, but I will not be posting anymore to this topic, since I am not sighted, and therefore do not meet the criteria for replying. It's great that you all adore Caitlin, but that doesn't mean that the rest of us have to, or have to like what she does. We are just as free to express our opinions as you are to express yours in support of her. Good night.

If there was nothing bad actually said about Caitlin, it was certainly implied.
Jeez guys, this is just prety pathetic honnestly. You are just out there wanting to create fudes and arguments. He could as well have said "those who do not own a dog" and you could interpret that as discriminating against all dog owners, yes, sure, it is, but that's the whole point. There is absolutely nothing bad about what was said and I cannot see how it was aimed at Caitlin, but if you are out looking for trouble and negative things and use every opportunity to create something negative, of course you'll find it. For a much more negative comment e.g. see WonderWoman's post where she claims there are a very few nice guys on this site and she only remembers one, she's directly implying the rest of guys here are mean and I personally think it's a lot moer direct attack on people than specifying something silly like not bein a member of derickland (I don't want to be a member of Derickland, but it does not mean I don't like Caitlin, she seems pretty cool from what I've seen).

Hi All. I was trying to refrain from posting here, but upon seeing the last posts, I just wanted to add something. I'm not going to get into this. Just wanted to say that, Wilde, this post is definitely about me. As Alison said,I meet all the criteria. There are only two members of Deraitland. some one of them is me. The other is a male, and so doesn't fit the criteria. I also have LCA. And Sam knows me and he told me he was going to start this topic about me. So there's proof. But I odn't care about what he says, I personally just think it's kind of funny that he's wasting hsi time trying to upset me. Thanks to all of you for posting, those who were in support of me or no. Just thanks for taking the time. And thanks to those who said respectfable things, you know who you are. Thanks more than you know. Okay, I'm done. But that's all I'm going to say.
So, if he posts a topic saying "do not reply to this if your screen name is Caitlin", how offensive, exactly is that? He's just saying, here's a post, Caitlin, don't reply to it. If I saw a post like that about me I'd just find it funny and, indeed, reply to it. I don't see how this is a huge attack on your character or personality or whatever, in fact I don't see how this is exatly offensive. It's really up to you to choose how you react to it and I stand by the fact that people here blew things so out of proportion it's kind of sad and, to me, it's not at all obvious that he was talking about Caitlin. Sure it's silly and a bit stupid may be to post a tpic like that, but I mean, people post their fan club topics, those are also silly and a bit stupid and that's totally ok, this is not inherently offensive or harmful and by giving this reaction, well, if he wanted to stir up some feathers, that's exactly what he did.
And, not to mention, the fact that you are assuming that all of the criteria have to fit, if there is an "or" between the qualifications posted this will apply to a lot more people than just Caitlin, in fact you are assuming a logical "and" bewteen those qualifications so you are working on your own assumpions, biast by your opinions or desire for an outcome.
I know the math enough to know the dangers of our second guessing.

I couldn't agree more with WB! Besides, even if someone starts a topic telling that Internet King is the biggist asshole on the zone it wouldn't bother me:
1. Because if someone wants to talk negative about me, without any facts, or reasons, then it shows lack of inteligence or abilitty to discuss and debate of that particular poster.
2. Like I've said many times on here, I don't expect from everyone to to like me or think positive about me, no do I expect to be popular nor is my aim signing up to this website to be popular. I came here to discuss things, play games and just chill out and relax from every day busy life, if people happen to like me, good, if not, I'm not gonna lose my sleep over it. Saying all that I've met some great people on here, made some very good friends and am happy to continue to do so.
These days, with people seemingly being more thin-skinned than ever before, stating any kind of preference can be interpreted as discrimination. Humans are not evolved enough yet to just not have preferences, so you'll have to
caitlin's the kind of person, who doesn't really care, well she does, but she's not going to yell at you people. but I am not that type of person and, basically, she fits all those things, right. and I ...hmm...how should i say it...ok I hate all this negative attention she's getting! (I'm sorry I'm doing, but I hate it when people do this kind of, "you can't reply if you don't fit these catigories.")
o yeah and even though I'm new, I've met caitlin before, in case you're wondering, and she's a nice person that's all i'm trying to say. just don't want people to think, "is she some other person who's got an account?" (waaaaaaaay off topic people sorry.)

Well, dear last three posters, again, this is how you read things, you read them this way because you want to stir things up and criticize and find villains, I do not know why, because the negativity is something that amuses you. WonderWoman, I really don't think you can afford a houlier-than-thou attitude given your more recent post with very similar undertones and what in the world does WTF stand for btw? I think blink's post was rather amusing actually, it was not obviously directed at Caitlin, only you guys brought it up for all the Zone to see when 90% of us never even would have thought about it. I've never said anything bad about Caitlin and I don't picture myself ever doing that because she's very cool. As for you guys, well, stop setting double standards, that's really all I can say, if you are to criticize this post at least try to do so constructively and respond to the well constructed arguments here pointing to the fact that you are blowing things way out of proportion, as much as you may enjoy personal attacks etc sometimes you have to deal with something called objective discussion.

And what exactly negative was said about her in this post? Only that she wasn't allowed to reply to this thread. Is that discrimination? Maybe. But I can't control whether she replies or not. And if you didn't notice, I really didn't care. The Boy Scouts discriminate against atheists and homosexuals. In this free country, they have every right as a private organization to decide who they will and will not let into their elite club. Oh, and by the way, the BoyScouts discriminate agaiinst girls as well. The last thing I will say on this subject matter is that I told Caitlin the night before that my purpose was to create a thread that she couldn't reply to. None of you knew that before you flew off the handle. So you can say I was mean, and she can claim I was trying ot upset her, but both of those allegations are unfounded.

Honestly I only looked at this topic cause it's 2:32AM and I'm bored and frankly curious as to what it's all about. I find fault in everyone but BLINK. He stated "to be read by males only" and all the females who posted (including me) are stupid cause it ain't none of our business! So there seriously Blink, I've got your back, even if I do admittingly fall into the "females that don't listen" category". So all the girls that got shit over this, yall deserve every bit of it. <smile>
